Blooming Memories

My passion for creating flower prints is rooted in the love and legacy of my grandparents—two incredibly talented people who shaped my artistic spirit before I even knew it existed. My grandmother was the kind of woman who could do it all. She was a skilled gardener, quilter, seamstress, baker, and homemaker—always working with her hands and creating beauty in the everyday. Her home was filled with warmth, wildflowers, and handcrafted pieces that reflected her quiet strength and creativity.

My grandfather was an artist through and through. He had a natural talent for drawing, painting, and woodworking, and spent countless hours bringing his visions to life. One of his most thoughtful creations was a handcrafted wooden flower press, which he built for my grandmother so she could preserve her favorite blooms from the garden. That press—worn and weathered, but still strong—now lives with me. After she passed, I inherited it, not realizing at the time how deeply it would influence my own path.

Tucked inside were delicate, timeworn flowers that she had pressed by hand—some dating back to the 1980s, before I was even born. Holding them felt like holding a piece of her world, and it sparked something inside me. Since 2024, I’ve been creating and selling prints using that very flower press, turning pressed blooms into meaningful artwork that bridges generations.

Today, each print I make is a love letter to where I came from. I forage flowers ethically, with care and gratitude for the natural world. I upcycle frames from local thrift stores and yard sales, giving them new life while helping reduce waste. And I design original backgrounds using graphic design techniques that blend natural textures with soft, earthy palettes. Every piece is crafted with intention, combining old-world tradition with modern artistry.

This work isn’t just about flowers—it’s about memory, legacy, and the quiet magic of things made by hand. It’s my way of honoring the talent, patience, and creativity my grandparents passed down to me, and sharing a piece of that story with you.
